Path of Conscience

A conscious commitment to align one's life and day-to day-actions with one's conscience, combined with a willingness to make the significant sacrifices required to be faithful to one's principles in the face of our world's complexities. Study of the lives of moral leaders shows that aligning one's life with one's values, and the work of helping create a more just society, require life-long effort as well as a willingness to remain open-minded to the potential flaws and limitations of one's own values and beliefs, while at the same time pursuing them with integrity, courage and commitment. Remarkable insights, inspired action, failure and disillusionment, periods of withdrawal and reflection, and the rediscovery of inspiration are common experiences for those walking the path of conscience.
